There’s no stopping the incoming barrage of promos from Star Wars: The Force Awakens with a little more than a month until it roars into theaters. Check out these new images Entertainment Weekly revealed in this week’s double-issue Star Wars cover story!
While new images of yet unseen new characters were of course absent, the mag has exclusive pics of of the cast we’ve been getting to know minimally more and more about in the past year of promotion.
What has been revealed plot-wise? We can see Kylo Ren is clearly not wearing his helmet when he confronts Finn and Rey, and that sure looks like Adam Driver and not Mark Hamill for those who think Luke and Kylo are one and the same.
We see Poe Dameron is cuffed while aboard a First Order starship (likely at the beginning of the film). As a prisoner of war who gets tortured by Kylo Ren as seen in the full trailer, the image with Finn in his Stormtrooper armor gies us a hint of what to expect. It also looks like Finn indeed steals Dameron’s Resistance jacket before jumping ship to Jakku.
There’s also a new full portrait image of Harrison Ford as Han Solo, which looks fantastic.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, is set to open on December 18, 2015 and stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Andy Serkis, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Crystal Clark, Pip Anderson, Warwick Davis and Max von Sydow.
