The anticipation for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has hit a fever pitch and even though the latest 60-second TV spot offers only the slightest bit of new footage, it’s still extremely exciting when we get a quick shot of Han Solo taking aim and firing his blaster and Finn striking down a First Order Stormtrooper with the iconic blue-bladed Skywalker lightsaber!

What’s revealed in this new sneak peek that premiered last night during ABC’s TGIT line-up of shows? Besides seeing Han and Finn in action, the war room at the Resistance home base is unveiled complete with General Leia and a Mon Calamari (Admiral Ackbar?) keeping watch. We also see Finn’s Tie Fighter make its escape from a First Order Star Destroyer and Han handing Rey a blaster for protection, telling her “You might need this.”

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, is set to open on December 18, 2015 and stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Andy Serkis, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Crystal Clark, Pip Anderson, Warwick Davis and Max von Sydow.
