Look into the eyes of the next big screen Lex Luthor. Well after endless online debate of “Will he or won’t he be bald?” as the iconic DC Comics villain in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it looks like we finally have our answer.
This black and white character portrait, courtesy of director Zack Snyder via Entertainment Weekly, shows the actor so clean shaven that there is no doubt he will indeed sport the classic look of Superman’s arch villain. Though it’s not to say he won’t have the actor’s full head of hair at some point in the film.
“He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure,” Snyder told EW, “other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.”
“Our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake,” the director said. “He says what he believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there.”
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for March 26th, 2016 and stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Scoot McNairy and Holly Hunter.
