WB just debuted the highly anticipated Wonder Woman movie trailer at Comic Con while stars Gal Gadot and Chris Pine were on the Hall H stage along with director Patty Jenkins.
We saw the teaser poster yesterday, and this impressive first look showcases Gal Godot’s incredible screen presence as the DC Comics Amazon warrior. Themyscira looks appropriately ancient and magical and the film will make a mark in the DC Cinematic Universe via the various time periods it takes Diana through from ancient time to World War 1 and possibly to her eventual team up with Batman and Superman.
Here is the film’s official synopsis:
“Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Directed by Patty Jenkins and set for June 23, 2017, Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Lucy Davis and Elena Anaya.
