Yahoo! Movies got the sneak peek bragging rights to the first look at this summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy action figure toy line from Hasbro. Set to be unveiled this Saturday at Hasbro’s invite-only annual big New York Toy Fair kick off event, the six-figure set includes Star Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer and Groot. Two additional characters will be revealed at the NYC event, which Nerdy Rotten Scoundrel has a VIP pass to, and will be front and center sharing pics and info regarding all the new Hasbro toy lines.
This promo poster featuring the likeness of cast members Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora) and David Batista (Drax the Destroyer) is the second interpretation of one of the earliest concept art images released shortly after the stars of the Marvel Studios film were announced. Taken from the end of the GOTG teaser trailer, the cast is seen in a “police” line-up, and you can see the evolution from concept, to movie still, to toy line.
