Marvel has unveiled a gallery of concept art from their upcoming movie slate, which among other things, gives us out first ever looks at Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Granted we shouldn’t have expected Elizabeth Olsen to wear the outrageous costume Scarlet Witch is know for in the comics on the big screen, so it comes as no surprise to see the concept art has her outfitted in a far more grounded and grungy get up. Her brother Quicksilver’s minimalist look revealed here (to be played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is in stark contrast to the ’70s glam version used in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past (and played by Evan Peters).
Also from Age of Ultron are revealing images taken from ABC’s Marvel: Assembling a Universe special of Hulk taking on Tony Stark’s “Hulkbuster” armor, no so subtlety hinting that the gamma ray green giant gets out of control at some point during the film.
Set for a May 1, 2015 release, Joss Whedon returns as director/writer along with with cast members Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, and James Spader.
These stills from the Ant-Man proposal short directed by Edgar Wright aren’t exactly new, but nonetheless give us a good idea of the kind of costume Paul Rudd will be wearing as Scott Lang.
And the preview wouldn’t be complete without stills of Rocket Raccoon, Groot and Star Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy.
