Revisit BACK TO THE FUTURE This Fall With The In-Depth Documentary BACK IN TIME

back-in-time

Back To The Future is my favorite movie of all time and needless to say it’s hard to believe thirty years have passed since the classic film first hit the big screen. I’m always psyched when rare behind-the-scenes images pop up online, or when new interviews with the cast and film makers surface in which they reminisce about being a part of the trilogy.

Well it looks like BTTF fans are in for one big treat this fall that will coincide with the film’s milestone anniversary and official celebrations know as We’re Going Back. Back In Time, a new crowd funded documentary from director Jason Aron, shows a lot of promise to be the most comprehensive retrospective yet.

The making-of look back on the entire trilogy features an impressive line-up of new interviews. Robert Zemeckis, Michael J. Fox, Bob Gale, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Dean Cundey, Alan Silvestri, Claudia Wells, and James Tolkan are among the cast and film makers on deck.  This will be without question one not to miss for fans.

From Back In Time‘s Kickstarter page:

Put simply, it’s the ultimate documentary related to the Back to the Future trilogy. It’s a film that digs deep into what these movies have meant to our culture. It’s not a simple “making of” documentary, but rather one which explores the incredible, lasting resonance of the trilogy through the eyes of cast members and crew of the films, as well as some of the ultimate fans of the trilogy.

Plus, the DeLorean Time Machine itself, of course.

It’s a film that we think was begging to be made, so we did. All signs point to that being a great idea. After all, at this year’s Academy Awards there were multiple references made to Back to the Future. 2015 marks the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future, and it’s also the year Marty, Doc, and Jennifer visited in Back to the Future II.

Back In Time is set for a public debut on October 21, 2015, i.e. Back To The Future‘s actual Future Day, which coincides with We’re Going Back, a week of BTTF related events in Los Angeles to commemorate the 30th Anniversary.
