New SUPERGIRL Preview Promises Big Action and Powerful Villains

The latest trailer to CBS’ Supergirl is easily the best one yet. Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El gets to show off many of her Kryptonian superpowers as she takes on some of the formidable first wave of villains lined up to wreck havoc on Earth.

With less than a month away, Supergirl is winning over more and more of the skeptics wondering if uber-producer Greg Berlanti’s latest DC Comics television adaptation will fall in tone more towards the established CW shows or fully embrace its CBS zip code.

There’s lots of action packed first look footage here plus new glimpses of Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli), James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan), Reactron (Chris Browning),Hellgrammite (Justice Leak) and Vartox (Owain Yeoman).

Melissa Benoist stars as Kara Zor-El/ Supergirl. The series features Calista Flockhart (Cat Grant), Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers), David Harewood (Chief Hank Henshaw), Mehcad Brooks (Jimmy Olsen), Faran Tahir (The Commander), Peter Facinelli (Maxwell Lord), Jenna Dewan Tatum (Lucy Lane) and Laura Benanti (Alura Zor-El). Former Superman and Supergirl Dean Cain and Helen Slater are also on board as Kara’s earth parents Jeremiah and Eliza Danvers.

Supergirl premieres on CBS Monday, October 26th at 8:30 PM.
