Ominous New ALIEN: COVENANT Poster Unleashed Before New Trailer Debuts

To build some excitement for the new Alien: Covenant trailer set to debut tomorrow, 20th Century Fox has unleashed an ominous a new teaser poster  bearing some unmistakable iconic imagery.

With each passing sneak peek, Covenant looks to return the series to its horror sci fi roots seen in Ridley Scott’s groundbreaking 1979 first installment starting Sigourney Weaver, Alien. Needless to say the face hugger egg seen on this poster does not bode well for the crew of the titular colony ship.

 

This image has the warning “Hide,” while the previous one-sheet featuring the Xenomorph says “Run.”

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise.  The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world.  When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Alien: Covenant is set for theaters May 19th.
