Margot Robbie is headed to the high seas in a new Pirates of the Caribbean adventure penned by her Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson.
According to the scoop from The Hollywood Reporter, this stand alone entry in the franchise will sail separately from the currently in development soft reboot of Disney’s $4.5 billion grossing Captain Jack Sparrow-led series.
Robbie will lead the Pirates cast of new swashbucklers in the film produced by the series overseer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Screenwriter Hodson is on a successful streak of high profile films including the 2018 Transformers soft reboot Bumblebee and Birds of Prey, in addition to penning the upcoming DC films The Flash and Batgirl.
