If Angry Birds Star Wars hasn’t been enough to occupy your spare brain space, prepare to transform and roll out with Angry Birds Transformers. With Michael Bay’s Transformers: Age of Extinction set to assault the international box office at the end of the month, it’s no surprise to learn this exciting cross-over is coming in hot.
Via Twitter, Rovio and Hasbro announced today to keep tabs on the new official website for more information. It looks like we can look forward to playing out round after round of Autobirds versus Deceptihogs, featuring birds disguised as some of the iconic robots like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Unicron and Galvatron.
For us old school fans, we recognize the image released today as a direct homage to one of the posters from 1986’s animated Transformers theatrical movie. Admittedly I am not big on gaming, but Star Wars Angry Birds is one of the rare apps I play on my iPhone, so as a grown up who grew up with G1 Transformers, I am really looking forward to this.
