Check out the first official on-set picture from Iron Man 3, currently shooting in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Robert Downey Jr. returns as Tony Stark/Iron Man alongside Gwenyth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Don Cheadle (James “Rhodey” Rhodes) and Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan). The third installment in the series is being directed by Shane Black, reuniting with Downey following their 2005 sleeper hit Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. In addition to writing Iron Man 3, Black is also famous for breaking out for penning action classics like Die Hard and The Last Boy Scout. The film also welcomes Sir Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce to the cast as villains.
Paparazzi pictures surfaced last week of James Badge Dale in costume as who is speculated to be a composite character of The Iron Patriot and Coldblood.
Iron Man 3 is set for release May 3, 2013 from Disney and Marvel Studios.
