Warner Bros. and The CW had a goldmine of reveals last night during The Dawn of the Justice League half hour special. In addition to the debut of the new Suicide Squad trailer, we also were treated to some first look footage from the upcoming Wonder Woman solo film starring Gal Gadot.
There’s been plenty of images and concept art out there of Gadot as the iconic DC Amazon, and only scant snippets of live action footage from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, but this spotlight from The CW’s show gives us mostly World War I era shots with Chris Pine (as Steve Trevor), in kick ass action spots and several shots on horseback.
“We’re going to see her coming of age, the entire history, what’s her mission,” Gadot said during The Dawn of the Justice League.
Directed by Patty Jenkins and set for June 23, 2017, Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis (Harry Potter), Ewen Bremner (Snowpiercer), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead) and Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In).
