The big Doctor Who World Tour made its mark on NYC this week with the main event fan screening on Thursday night of the Season Eight premiere of Deep Breath at the historic Ziegfeld Theater.
Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, Who EP Steven Moffat, the Nerdist‘s Chris Hardwick and a Cyberman walked the blue carpet before the screening with a packed audience of anxious Whovians, many decked out in costume and wielding sonic screwdrivers. The event also included a Q&A for the fans with Capaldi, Coleman and Moffat moderated by Hardwick. You can also check out a Q&A with the press we attended earlier in the day HERE.
This isn’t the first time the Doctor has visited NYC’s Ziegfeld. In August 2012, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan were on hand for the US premiere of Asylum Of The Daleks. You can see our coverage of that event HERE.
The next day the Who tour stopped by Rockefeller Center for some scenic photos at the Top Of Rock, which offers the best view of the NYC skyline. So enjoy these pics and videos provided by BBC America and the additional images I took earlier in the day before the stars hit the blue carpet.
BBC America has also released a highlight video of the fan Q&A that followed the screening of Deep Breath.
Check out the video highlights from the NYC leg of the World Tour, which includes Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman’s stop at the Top Of The Rock in Rockefeller Center to take in the spectacular NYC.
