We got a sneak peek at Grant Gustin as Central City’s Scarlet Speedster last week, but with shooting for The CW’s The Flash pilot fully underway, Warner Bros. Television has released an image that fully reveals the costume Barry Allen will wear to fight crime.
The updated look for the DC Comics icon was designed by three-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who also brought that dark hued leather look to Stephen Amell’s costume on Arrow, from which The Flash pilot has been spun-off.
“I hope the fans who treasure the character are as excited as we are by what costume designer Colleen Atwood has achieved with this latest version of The Flash’s iconic suit,” director/executive producer David Nutter said in a press release.
The potential series also features Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order), Tom Cavanagh (Ed), John Wesley Shipp (CBS’s The Flash), Danielle Panabaker (Shark), Rick Cosnett (The Vampire Diaries), Candice Patton (The Game), Michelle Harrison (Emily Owens, MD) and Carlos Valdes.
