New York Comic Con got off to a rousing start when George Clooney took the stage during the Tomorrowland panel and joined director Brad Bird and co-star Hugh Laurie to a packed hall of eager fans. Besides the fact that Clooney was an surprise guest, I think we all assumed he was still on his honeymoon for crying out loud.
The first look at the highly secretive film was released today and boy doesn’t this cryptic teaser trailer look so damn intriguing?
Here is the film’s official synopsis:
Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as “Tomorrowland.”
Directed and co-written by Brad Bird, the film stars George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson, Raffey Cassidy and Thomas Robinson.
Tomorrowland is set to hit theaters on May 22, 2015.
