The Mutants Go To War In The New X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Trailer

There’s an epic mutant war on the horizon in the latest trailer X-Men: Apocalypse.X-Men mastermind Bryan Singer’s next chapter sees Charles Xavier and his team take on the immortal Apocalypse and his Four Horseman.

In this tale set in the alerted Days of Future Past ’80s,  Xavier’s First Class recruits Mystique, Beast are joined by the younger rebooted incarnations of Jean Grey, Cyclops and Nightcrawler, now students at the his School For Gifted Youngsters.

The thousands of years old title villain (played by Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ Oscar Isaac) is not pleased with the state of the world and brings Magneto, Storm, Archangel and Psylocke under his wing to aid him in his quest for global domination.

We’ll have our classic X-Men line up again on the big screen when the film hits theaters in May, an adventure that will serve as a conclusion to the First Class trilogy.

If we’re doing the math in regards to this highly revamped X-men timeline, the next installment (if keeping up with the ten year jump between films), will almost catch up the era Bryan singer’s original. The recent Deadpool spin-off is also set in this universe, but takes place in the present day, so by 2016 all we know is Colossus and Teenage Negasonic Warhead are two of the X-Men on the current team.
