As we can see, there are no strings on the title villain of Avengers: Age of Ultron, who finally gets his due in the series of character one-sheets released before the highly anticipated sequel hits the big screen next month.Granted there has been pieces of official images of the robot baddie released on various tie-in merchandise packaging and screen caps from the trailers have been easy to find, but revealing, albeit over-the shoulder, poster artwork of Ultron like this has been relatively scarce.

The final design looks impressive, and I’m pretty certain we can looks forward  to a whole other level of bad assness when we hear James Spader’s voice add the other layer of life, even if it’s evil Chitauri-based artificial life.

Marvel has already released the character posters for Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Nick Fury, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for theaters May 1st in 3D. Directed and written by Joss Whedon, the film stars Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johannson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), James Spader (Ultron), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Paul Bettany (Vision), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Don Cheadle (Rhodey) and Andy Serkis (Ulysses Klaw).

I had the pleasure of catching up with Elizabeth Olsen in NYC today, who is in town to talk up her role in Oldboy (more to come on Spike Lee’s dark remake soon). As my roundtable interview session was wrapping up, I definitely could not let her leave the room without asking what she could share regarding her upcoming role as Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron (which technically has yet to be officially confirmed by Disney or Marvel). I am happy to report I got far from a “no comment.”

I mentioned that her Oldboy co-star, Nick Fury himself Samuel L. Jackson, unexpectedly spilled the beans last month to The Wall Street Journal that he’ll be working with her in the highly anticipated sequel.

“I don’t know if we’ll work together, but we’ll be doing Avengers together,” she said. I’d take that as a definite “yes,” she’s signed on the dotted line. “I don’t know if we’ll be doing any scenes together though,” she added.

So how excited is she to be taking on the iconic Marvel character?

“Yes, I’ve become like such a nerd about it,” she said with a big smile. “I’m having so much fun right now. It’s really really fun to read those comics and its really exciting. The majority of this stuff isn’t relevant to what we’re gonna be doing. But I’m loving it and it’s a lot of fun.”

As for the big screen version of the legendary costume, she revealed she has yet to actually get a good look at it.

“No. I just know about it, but it’s not probably what people would expect,” she said.

As she left for her next interview she laughed when told she would make a cool action figure, an inevitable right of passage when you’re set to become a big screen superhero.

Olsen joins the ensemble cast alongside her Godzilla co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson (as Scarlet Witch’s brother Quicksilver) and James Spader (who is set to embody the film’s title villain, the robotic Ultron).

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for a May 1st, 2015 release, once again to be written and directed by Joss Whedon.

There will be much more to come here regarding the remake of Oldboy from today’s interviews with stars Olsen, Michael Imperioli and Pom Klementieff, plus screenwriter/producer Mark Protosevich and director Spike Lee.

Oldboy is set for theaters on November 27th.
