BBC announced via Twitter that Doctor Who will return to the airwaves for Series Eight in August. Also revealed were a new promo image and teaser clip of Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor silhouetted aboard the TARDIS. Teaser material is teaser material, so there isn’t too much here to go into. But we now know we won’t have to wait until the fall to get our first full appearance of Peter Capaldi’s new Doctor following his brief post regeneration intro in The Time of The Doctor.
