A new sixty-second music video promo for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has gone online. Titled Knock Knock, the high octane spot features the song ‘Shell Shocked’ by Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J and Ty Dolla $ign, which is included on the film’s soundtrack.
I actually really dig this quick spot a lot. I caught a 15-minute preview here in NYC last week and it pretty much left me with an overbearing fear of how exceedingly kid friendly the film will be. Granted a dark edgy tone isn’t what fans really want either, but I think this new look at the film really nails a feel both old and new fans would equally enjoy.
A new one-sheet featuring the team of turtles was also released, which gives us a pretty good peek at the new looks Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael have in the Michael Bay-produced reboot.
Official synopsis:
The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
