It’s no secret National City will have two members of Krypton’s House of El in town when Supergirl flies to The CW this fall. Check out the first look at Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) standing side by side in this new official promo image!
The CW is not pulling any punches when it comes to Supergirl‘s sophomore season. Excitement has been steadily building since Teen Wolf‘s Tyler Hoechlin was cast as Kara’s cousin Clark Kent/Kal-El and set to appear in the first two episodes.
Via the show’s Twitter account, we have our first super look at Kara Zor-El and Kal-El together in full costume.

It’s interesting to see the slight differences in the costume designs, but Hoechlin’s super suit is still a very traditional take on the Man of Steel’s classic DC Comics look, retaining the familiar full red and yellow “S” shield (unlike Kara) but going with a New 52-ish belt and leaving the out dated red trunks behind.
You have to admit, Benoist and Hoechlin are pretty spot on in full costume.
Supergirl debuts on The CW Monday, October 10 at 8 PM.
