“And here we go…” So said Heath Ledger’s Joker. Today Suicide Squad director David Ayer shared a picture from the Toronto set’s video village to mark the first official day of filming on the adaptation of the DC’s team of government enlisted super villains.

Under the production code name Bravo 14 (think Blue Harvest), it will be interesting to see what images surface online from any exterior shooting. Warner Bros. did a pretty solid job of keeping nearly all of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice out of the paparazzis’ camera eyes, so let’s what shows up in the next few weeks.
Suicide Squad is set for for release on August 5, 2016 and stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jared Leto (Joker), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Adam Beach, Jim Parrack, Ike Barinholtz and Scott Eastwood.
