Our first look at Star Trek: Lower Decks is finally here and this new trailer introduces us to the support crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos from CBS All Access’ upcoming animated comedy series.
Lower Decks has the perfect place to break new ground on CBS All Access, alongside the other original series Discovery and Picard, by adding a light-hearted new take on the ionic sci-fi franchise. The ten-episode first season premieres on August 6th and will be available to stream weekly on Thursdays chronicling the misadventures of a few of Starfleet’s unheralded new recruits.

Star Trek: Lower Decks” premieres August 6, only on CBS All Access. Developed by Emmy Award winner Mike McMahan (“Rick and Morty,” “Solar Opposites”), “Star Trek: Lower Decks”, a new half-hour animated comedy series, focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos, in 2380. Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford and Tendi have to keep up with their duties and their social lives, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies.
The U.S.S. Cerritos lower deck crew voice cast includes includes Tawny Newsome (Ensign Beckett Mariner), Jack Quaid (Ensign Brad Boimler), Noel Wells (Ensign Tendi), and Eugene Cordero (Ensign Rutherford).
The bridge officer cast includes Dawnn Lewis (Captain Carol Freeman), Jerry O’Connell (Commander Jack Ransom), Fred Tatasciore (Lieutenant Shaxs), and Gillian Vigman (Doctor T’Ana).
