I think we can all agree the final poster art for Marvel’s The Avengers was a disappointing product from merely Photoshopping the actors’ heads onto the bodies of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. That same shot made its way from theaters all the way to the home video release.
The final Ultron-less one-sheet to Avengers: Age Of Ultron was revealed today by Marvel on Twitter, and it appears no lessons have been learned in the art department. It’s unfortunately another poster slapped together from various unrelated images of the main cast into one sloppy forced pose. The Marvel superhero line-up may be impressive, but this image is not.
Though in the plus side in the credits you can see that Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Idris Elba (Heimdall) and Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) will appear in the film.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for May 1st in 3D. Directed and written by Joss Whedon, the film’s all-star cast includes Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johannson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), James Spader (Ultron), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Paul Bettany (Vision), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Don Cheadle (Rhodey) and Andy Serkis (Ulysses Klaw).
