Netflix dropped the first trailer to the upcoming Luke Cage series at Comic Con, showing off Mike Colter’s awesome powers as he takes on the criminals of New York City.
Introduced earlier this year in Jessica Jones, Luke Cage is the unstoppable title hero in Marvel’s third gritty Nexflix series set in the Big Apple. Check out all the kick ass action set to Old Dirt Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.”
Here is the official show synopsis:
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Luke Cage hits Netflix on September 30th and also stars Simone Missick (Misty Knight), Frank Whaley (Rafael Scarfe), Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), Mahershala Ali (Cottonmouth,) Theo Rossi (Shades) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple).
