When FORCE FRIDAY Midnight Madness Hits Times Square

Force Friday is going full steam ahead as we speak and we were at the flagship Toys R Us store in Times Square for the NYC kick-off at 12:01 am.

Fans lined up around the block from 44th street to 45th street outside the store entrance for the opportunity to be the first to purchase official Star Wars: The Force Awakens tie-in toys and collector’s merchandise.

At 11 pm, a select group of fans were treated to a special VIP Q&A with Rancho Obi-Wan CEO Steve Sansweet and acclaimed Star Wars artist Jeff Carlisle.

A squadron of Stormtroopers guarded the Star Wars specialty section of the store in the final minutes of the countdown to midnight until the black curtain would drop and reveal the toys.

At midnight the curtain fell and the Force Friday festivities were officially unleashed!
