Finally we have a trailer to the trailer worth its weight in gold. 20th Century Fox and the Deadpool folks have once again broken the mold and released a preview ahead of tomorrow’s Red Trailer debut that I hope pushes the other studios in a similar marketing direction.
This tongue-in-cheek spot, which fits in tone with Marvel’s first hard-R superhero film, is not only self deprecating and takes a shot at a certain previous X-Men movie, but offers more of Ryan Reynolds breaking the Fourth Wall to narrate as Wade Wilson, aka The Merc With A Mouth, aka Deadpool.
The Deadpool Red Band trailer will make its broadcast debut on Conan tomorrow night, forcing the late night talk show to change its rating to TV-MA for the episode.

Here is Deadpool‘s official synopsis:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Deadpool, directed by Tim Miller and set for a February 12, 2016 release, stars Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson/Deadpool), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa Carlysle/Copycat), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Ed Skrein (Ajax), and Gina Carano (Angel Dust).
