20th Century Fox has released the near five minute prologue to Alien: Covenant, Ridley Scott’s follow up to 2012’s Prometheus and next chapter in the groundbreaking series he launched in 1979.
The scene introduces us to the crew of the Covenant, made up of couples and a familiar looking android, as they celebrate their last meal before going into cryosleep for their long journey to start a colony on an far off alien world. The not-so-subtle meal time scare and nod to Scott’s Alien certainly foreshadows what is to come for this and subsequent crews.
