Right alongside Tim Burton’s Superman Lives, George Miller’s Justice League: Mortal will always be on top of the list of the great superhero ‘What If?’ films of all time. Few pre-production images have surfaced from the scrapped big budget adaptation of DC Comics iconic superhero team. Now pictures of Megan Gale in her full Wonder Woman costume have surfaced.

The film was pretty much set to roll when the plug was pulled literally at the eleventh hour in 2009 with a deadly double punch from the Writer’s Guild Strike and Australian tax rebates falling through.

From photographer Mark Rogers comes these costume images of Megan Gale, who was set to play Wonder Woman/Diana Prince in Miller’s epic, in her full Justice League: Mortal costume.

Alongside Megan Gale, Justice League: Mortal was set to star D.J. Cotrona (Superman), Armie Hammer (Batman), Adam Brody (Flash), Santiago Cabrera (Aquaman), Hugh Keays-Byrne (Martian Manhunter), Common (Green Lantern), Jay Baruchel (Maxwell Lord) and Teresa Palmer (Talia Al Ghul).

A proposed documentary tracing the rise and ultimate fall of Justice League: Mortal, much like The Death of Superman Lives, is currently in the works and may see the light of day if Warner Bros. signs off on the rights to the wealth of unreleased pre-production material.

With WB’s new cinematic universe about to hit full throttle with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in March, which will lead into Justice League, Part One, it’s completely up to the studio to do fans a solid and do this documentary justice.
