TOY FAIR 2013: Mattel Unveils ’60s TV Series BATMAN Figures

Mattel had a big showing at the 2013 Toy Fair, in addition to the massive and impressive Masters of the Universe Castle Grayskull collector’s play set (OK, I admit my ’80s edition safely survives stashed away next to Snake Mountain in my patents basement), the toy giant also debuted a series of figures and dolls based on the ’60s Batman television show.

With striking resemblances to the actors who embodied these iconic DC Comic icons on the small and big screen, the action figure line includes Batman (Adam West), Robin (Burt Ward), Penguin (Burgess Merideth) and Riddler (Frank Gorshin). And no collection would be complete without a recreation of the one and only Batmobile, still one of the most recognizable cars in the world. There are also Ken and Barbie style dolls of Batman and Catwoman.
