The Thing Is Revealed At Last From The FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot

Is it finally clobberin’ time? After a sneak peek teaser trailer, posters and a bunch of official stills from Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot, we were still left without a solid reveal of Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm / The Thing. Well the wait is over, and it was well worth it.

Empire scored three new stills from the film, one of which shows off Bell’s CGI’d version of the rock covered Marvel icon which you can see is thankfully a huge improvement over the silly rubber suit Michael Chiklis wore in the two previous Fantastic Four big screen outings.

Now whether The Thing will have pants or not, that’s still up in the air.

Trank went for motion capture to achieve the Thing’s new look and found his perfect Ben Grimm in Bell. “Jamie in real life is a tough guy,” Trank told Empire. “He exudes this strength. Ben is Reed’s best friend in the archetypal, spiritual way, and you want that character to have that warmth and that strength.”

The two additional pictures show Reed Richards (Miles Teller) being examined by scientists, and our four future heroes as they embark into the other dimension that gives them their super powers.
