COMIC-CON: The Inquisitor Is Pretty Bad Ass In These New STAR WARS REBELS Clips

Star-Wars-Rebels

An extended look at Disney XD’s  Star Wars Rebels hit Comic-Con yesterday along with  two new clips. The first scene provides us with a pretty impressive look at the new villain voiced by Jason Isaacs, The Inquisitor. Sorry Darth Maul, but The Inquisitor definitely raises the bar when it comes to a double bladed lightsaber as he takes on Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Ezra (Taylor Gray). The show really has the feel of the Original Trilogy down pat, and the generous use here of John Williams score helps.

Here is a look at what we can expect further down the line from Season One of the series, including cameos from R2-D2 and C-3P0.

Official lowdown:

The Jedi have been wiped out and the Empire spreads tyranny through the galaxy. Hope runs thin. But on the small planet of Lothal a big change is looming. A group of rebels meet a 14-year-old con artist named Ezra and soon it’s clear their destinies are linked. Aboard their ship, the Ghost, Ezra and the rebels embark on an adventure to ignite a rebellion and strike back against the Empire.

Rebels’ one-hour debut is set to premiere in October on Disney Channel and will go to series on Disney XD.  The show’s voice cast includes Freddie Prinze Jr., Jason Isaacs, Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar, Vanessa Marshall, David Oyelowo and Billy Dee Williams.
