We finally have our first full length trailer to Netflix’s Jessica Jones starring Krysten Ritter. If there was any doubt that the show would follow-up Daredevil in the dark tone department not seen in any previous live action Marvel project, rest assured this looks to go down even deeper as a psychological drama.

This trailer introduces us to Jessica, the former superhero turned Private Investigator with alcohol issues and PTSD who has been targeted by the torturous mind controlling Kilgrave (David Tennant). Mike Colter as Luke Cage looks to have a major role in the Hell’s Kitchen set show as Jessica’s confident and love interest.

MARVEL'S JESSICA JONES

This looks like more than a worthy follow to Daredevil, and even in the all too brief glimpses, David Tennant looks to be absolutely terrifying as Kilgrave, also known as The Purple Man. Netflix is certainly keeping true to the extremely dark tone of its Netflix series which offer a stark contrast to what happens in the shared Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Series synopsis via Netflix:

After a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City.
