The CW recently announced the pick-up of the Arrow spin-off The Flash for the fall and dropped a quick teaser tonight that showcased some super speed effects we will see in the show. Arrow’s Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) teams up with Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) in this lighthearted spot and puts the differing demeanors of Central City’s Scarlet Speedster and Starling City’s vigilante archer against each other.

So let the way down the line speculation begin here: Will this actually be our first teaser to the big screen Justice League film? Will Amell and Gustin get their shots at the big league alongside Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher with cameos in the Man of Steel sequel slated for May 2016?

Here is the show’s official synopsis:

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.
