In this first clip from X-Men: Days of Future Past, we bear witness to the deadly assassin Mystique has evolved into in the time between X-Men: First Class and this latest chapter, set a decade later.

In “Collateral Damage,” Jennifer Lawrence’s younger version of the shape shifting blue Mutant in the ’70s has noticeably become closer to the formidable fighter seen in the first three modern day X-Men films played by Rebecca Romijn. Mystique gets to show case many of her deadly talents in the board room going against Peter Dinklage’s Dr. Bolivar Trask and Josh Helman’s Colonel William Stryker.

Official synopsis:

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.
