Meet CONSTANTINE From NBC’s Pilot Adaptation

I think we can put to rest the first wave of concerns of whether NBC’s adaptation of DC Comics’ Constantine will remain closer to the source material than the 2005 Keanu Reeves big screen version, at least visually that is.

NBC has released the first official image of Welsh actor Matt Ryan as John Constantine, the occult detective and cult anti-hero from Vertigo’s Hellblazer comic book series. The pilot was co-penned by David Goyer, who has become the go-to-guy for all things to do with writing DC live action adaptations.

Though it should be mentioned that the cast and crew posted two group shots yesterday, with Ryan in full costume, from their set to Slates For Sarah. The Facebook tribute page was set up to honor the memory of Sarah Elizabeth Jones, the AC who was killed on the job on February 20th while working on the Greg Allman biopic Midnight Rider.
