Jake Gyllenhaal Not Joining SUICIDE SQUAD

Looks like the role of Rick Flagg, recently vacated by Tom Hardy in the upcoming big screen version of DC Comics’ Suicide Squad, is still up for grabs. Jake Gyllenhall was reportedly on WB’s short list to re-join his End of Watch director David Ayer as the leader of the group of super villains given at chance at redemption by the government.

According to Variety, Gyllenhaal has passed on the opportunity to join the all-star team of Will Smith (Deadshot), Jared Leto (Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang) and Cara Delevingne (Enchantress).

Suicide Squad is set for August 5th, 2016.
