Heat Wave and Captain Cold Set To Re-Team In ARROW / FLASH Spin-Off. Dominic Purcell Joins Cast

The impressive all-star DC Comics cast of the upcoming Arrow/Flash spin-off is expanding. Deadline reports that Dominic Purcell will join his The Flash co-star Wentworth Miller in the show, which will see the super villain duo of Heat Wave and Captain Cold back in action together.

In addition to Miller (Leonard Snart) and Purcell (Mick Rory), the cast will incorporate popular characters from both hit CW series, including Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein) and Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/Canary).

Reportedly Robbie Amell has not signed on, which means Garber’s Dr. Stein will be grounded as an adviser, and fans will likely not see Firestorm on the show, full time at least. Also up in the air is what role Caity Lotz will have since her character in Arrow was killed off earlier this season. Whether she will be featured in flashback story line episodes or resurrected in the Lazarus Pit and take on a new crime fighter identity remains to be announced.

The show is being produced by the Arrow creative team of Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim. Three other DC characters are expected to join the show line-up as well.
