Han Solo Movie Announces First Shot

Star Wars fans will always argue that Han shot first, but revised Special Edition canon says different. In a clever play on words, co-director Chris Miller tweeted today from the set of the Han Solo prequel film that the first shot of production has indeed taken place.

Sharing a picture of the film slate that has the double meaning faux working title Star Wars: Red Cup, Miller announced filming on the adventures of the young Corellian scoundrel has kicked off.

Directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the still untitled Han Solo movie stars Alden Ehrenreich as the iconic smuggler, Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), Woody Harrelson (Garris Shrike) and Emilia Clarke. It is set for theaters May 25, 2018.
