Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell and producer / director Rob Thomas were joined by the cult show’s re-united cast including Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni, Francis Capra, Percy Daggs III, Ryan Hansen, Tina Majorino and Chris Lowell in Hall H at Comic-Con. With only two days left of shooting for Veronica Mars: The Movie, which took the concept of Kickstarter funded filmmaking to a whole new level of success, the cast and crew presented fans with a five minute video which also contained the first trailer to the $5 million fan-funded film.
“I wanted to do an Agatha Christie movie with everyone in one house, very few sets and very few guest stars,” Thomas told the crowd during the Q&A. “And that’s not what we did. We made an incredibly ambitious, sprawling low-budget movie. We wanted to include all of those smaller parts that fans really loved.”
