We got the hint last night straight from Tom Cruise via his Twitter account, “Light the fuse,” to expect something big was coming from Mission: Impossible 5 today. Keeping to that tease, Cruise hooked us up with the first look at Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation with a full title, trailer, poster and stills!

The IMF mission, likely accepted, promises to be “their most impossible mission yet,” and puts the team up against The Syndicate, an underground army of highly trained “anti-IMF” operatives. Rogue Nation re-unites Cruise’s Ethan Hunt with Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames), Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) and Ghost Protocol recruit William Brandt (Jeremy Renner).
And if you’re Tom Cruise, why settle for merely hanging off the side of world’s tallest building in Dubai (that’s so 2011), when you can hang on to the side of an airplane in flight.
Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation is set for theaters and IMAX on July 31st. Directed by Chris McQuarrie, the film stars Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Sean Harris and Alec Baldwin.
