Fans lucky enough to attend Disney’s D23 Expo were treated to take home a very cool collector’s item: an exclusive Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster by famed artist Drew Struzan. The image was officially released on Struzan’s Facebook page so fans all over the world could get a closer look at his latest piece of stunning Star Wars artwork.
“Here’s a more web-friendly photo of the art. Thanks everyone for your nice comments,” he wrote.
The poster contains some spoiler-ish imagery, specifically showing John Boyega’s Finn wielding a lightsaber. Also on the first teaser one-sheet from the highly anticipated film are Daisy Ridley’s Rey in her Jakku desert outfit, Adam Driver’s villain Kylo Ren, Harrison Ford’s Han Solo, squadrons of First Order Tie-Fighters and Resistance X-wing Fighters, and some throw back imagery to Bespin’s Carbonite freezing chamber and a Tattooine moisture farm.
Struzan is by no stretch of the imagination a stranger to movie poster art, he is the artist behind the Back To The Future trilogy, the Harry Potter series, the Indiana Jones films and many more you’re sure to recognize.
