Daredevil, the first of four NYC-set series based on Marvel superheroes scheduled to stream online was welcomed with an incredible reception from fans and critics. and now both Marvel and Netflix have set the show for more gritty episodes in NYC’s Hell’s Kitchen. The news was announced on Marvel.com and on Twitter. Daredevil Season One Executive Producer Steven S. DeKnight will not be returning however, leaving the show in the hands of show runners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez. Marvel’s Joseph Loeb will serve as the new DD EP. “While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season,” DeKnight said on Marvel.com, “I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.”

Daredevil stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna.
